Why Splitklips Media?
Splitklips Media is a proudly bilingual production company based in Ottawa, led by a Francophone creator from a minority-language community (CLOSM). With over 15 years of experience across nearly every corner of the industry, founder Karim Ayari has worked as a producer, director, DOP, editor, and show creator, working on everything from documentaries and fiction to magazine formats and music-driven youth content.
His journey into children's programming began after becoming a parent. Karim has contributed to shows for TVO Kids, TFO, Radio-Canada, and other established Canadian broadcasters. Becoming a parent inspired Karim to create content that reflects the values he wants to pass on to his children - stories rooted in empathy, curiosity, and creative thinking. His unique blend of storytelling expertise and hands-on production skills makes Splitklips Media a nimble partner for projects that aim to entertain, inspire, and reflect the world kids live in today.
