Website Privacy
This website is operated by Splitklips Inc. (Splitklips Productions) and Splitklips Média Inc., two companies based in Ottawa. This page explains what personal information the site collects, why and how, and your rights. It complies with Canada’s federal privacy law and, for visitors from Quebec, Law 25.
1. What we collect
When you write to us. The contact forms collect your name, email, phone number (optional) and message. We use them only to answer your request and follow up on our exchange. By sending the form, you consent to this use.
Automatically. As with any website, our host’s server records technical data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, date and time) to keep the site running and secure.
What we don’t do. We use no analytics, no advertising cookies and no tracking tools. We never sell or rent your information.
2. Cookies and third-party content
- YouTube video. The reel on the Splitklips Productions page is served by YouTube (Google). When the page loads, YouTube may set cookies or similar technologies and collect data under its own privacy policy.
- Fonts. The site’s fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when they load.
- Display preferences. The site may remember some display choices in your browser (local storage). This data stays on your device.
- External links. Links to other sites (broadcasters, partners) lead to sites governed by their own policies.
3. Service providers and where data is stored
The site and our email are hosted by Hostinger. Your messages and technical data may therefore be stored on servers outside Quebec or Canada. We choose providers that offer adequate protection of personal information.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your messages as long as needed to handle your request and follow up on our business relationship, and then we delete them.
5. Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and our mailboxes are password-protected. Only the people who need to answer your request can see your messages.
6. Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, consult it, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw your consent. Write to the person responsible below; we respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, if you are in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information.
